Our website is still under development and is constantly being updated. New products, images and text are being added daily, so please bear with us as we work to complete it. All products shown on our website are available to purchase. You can pay using any of the major credit and debit cards and your payment is securely processed by HSBC’s secure server.
Privacy & Cookies
Order Confirmation by Email
When you order and pay for goods via the website, you will receive an automated email confirming the details of your order, including the address to where the goods are being shipped. Receipt of this confirmation email confirms that your order has been received and is being processed.
Delivery & Postage
Items ordered online for delivery are posted using Royal Mail. You can usually expect to receive your items within 5 working days - please contact us if delivery is delayed. If Royal Mail attempt delivery and are unable to leave the package, you may need to rearrange delivery directly with them or collect the package from your local Royal Mail depot - they will leave an information card if this is the case.
If after 15 working days you still haven't received your order, please contact us and we will send a replacement.
Please note our standard delivery charge is £4.95 this price includes Royal Mail postage, but also our handling/packaging/bubble wrap etc. Occasionally the printed postage price on the package may show a value lower than the £4.95 charge, but this isn't the true total cost considering these other factors. On many occasions, especially with bulkier items the printed postage price on the package may total more than £4.95, but rest assured you will only have been charged our standard £4.95 postage price.
Out of Stocks
Our website shows clearly if an item is out of stock. If you do order an item that is out of stock, the delivery times will be extended, whilst we wait for stock to be received into our warehouse. This delay is not usually more than 10 working days. We will contact you if delivery is going to be longer than this, and you will have the option of:
- Selecting an alternative product that is in stock
- Maintaining your original order, and we will despatch it as soon as it comes back into stock.
- Cancelling your order
We hope you will be happy with the service and goods you buy from us, however we know that occasionally mistakes get made and you may receive an item that is the wrong size, colour or that is not suitable! Thankfully this is very rare, but if this does happen we operate a no quibble 14 day exchange and returns service*, which means you may return any item within 14 days of delivery provided that the goods you wish to return are:
unused and undamaged, still complete in their original packaging & in 100% saleable condition.
*please note - we are unable to exchange edible items (eg: Sugar Paste, Cake Flavouring etc) unless faulty.

If it is agreed the item needs to be returned to us, please post it back securely. Upon receipt of your goods we will either send you the correct item, an alternative with your agreement, or arrange for your card to be credited for the appropriate amount.
The cost of returning goods to us will be at your expense unless agreed otherwise prior to making the return. Where goods are returned for exchange you will not be charged for re-delivery.
Fortunately the likelihood of receiving faulty goods is very rare, but should this occur you may need to return them for inspection. If found to be faulty we will either replace the goods, arrange for their repair or offer a refund. Where a faulty return is agreed, please include the original packaging where ever possible.
PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE RETURNING ANY GOODS YOU BELIEVE TO BE FAULTY
In some instances, faulty goods may need to be returned to the manufacturer for checking rather than to us. We will advise you if this is the case. For goods subsequently found to be faulty, we will refund the costs of returning the goods. Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.
To purchase from our website, you will need to register providing a username and password, along with personal details to facilitate billing and delivery. We will retain your details for use in processing your order. Your details will remain secure with us and we guarantee not to pass your personal details on to any third party. Looses Cookshop conforms fully to the 1998 Data Protection Act.
Offensive Weapons Act 1996
Under the Offensive Weapons Act it is an offence to sell any sharp and dangerous implements to persons under the age of 18. Products on the loosescookshop.co.uk website that this applies to will clearly state this. By purchasing any item with this warning, you are declaring yourself to be 18 years of age and older. Please ensure you leave a contact telephone number, as on occasion we may contact customers to confirm their age. We may also use other means to verify eligibility to purchase these products by using publicly available information such as the electoral register. We reserve the right to refuse a sale if we are unable to ascertain a customers age when purchasing such items, and in this case will offer a full refund - alternatively, we are able to process orders online for collection in store, please bring ID if collecting such items.
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now a UK law.
Electrical and Electronic Equipment are one of the fastest growing waste streams in the UK, increasing by at least 5% each year. The public disposes of over 1.2 million tonnes of waste every year in the UK, and landfill sites are now reaching full capacity. Much of this waste can be recycled, and the resources recovered to make new consumer goods. The WEEE regulations aim to reduce the quantity of electrical and electronic items disposed of in this way and will encourage everyone to play a part in protecting our environment for future generations.
The WEEE legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of electrical equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.
Looses Cookshop are obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE items on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us. Customers wishing to return items to us in store are able to return their like-for-like WEEE item when purchasing new electrical items or within 28 days of purchase for us to dispose of.
Alternatively, those shopping online may find it more convenient to visit their nearest household waste recycling centre. To find your nearest recycling site for waste electrical and electronic products, contact your local council, or visit www.recycle-more.co.uk and type your postcode into the recycling bank locator.
Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
